Thomas A. Kempis was a 15th century monk, essayist and mystic, most well known as the author of Imitation of Christ, a book of devotion, and after the scriptures themselves, one of the most widely read Christian texts. This quotation in its entirety reads: "First keep the peace within yourself, then you can also bring peace to others," exemplifies his search for an understanding of spiritual truth which in turn each person must discover for themselves. The sterling silver necklace depicts a jewelry with meaning for yourself or a gift for someone else.
Sterling silver will retain its luster for years and frequent wearing of your jewelry will help prevent tarnishing. We recommend polishing your sterling silver jewelry with a dry silver polishing cloth available at most grocery or hardware stores. We do not recommend polishing with silver polish as this may remove the antiquing. When you are not wearing your jewelry, storing your silver in the jewelry bag in which it came will help prevent tarnishing.
Laurel Elliott's Pi Disc is a modern interpretation of the ancient Chinese form of a circle within a circle, an enduring symbol of nobility, purity, constancy and eternity. The circle having no end is itself a symbol of infinity. Its classic shape looks beautiful when worn, moving easily from day to night. The chain can be knotted on the disc or simply slipped though the open circle providing an additional 2" in length. It also can be used without a chain as a touchstone or keepsake for the pocket, desk or nightstand.
