This silver Judaica bracelet has been engraved with the first word of the Second Rabbinic Bible, printed in Venice in 1525 and now in the collection of the New York Public Library. The orchid and foliate engraving are from the page decoration. This four-volume Bible of 1525-was edited by the Tunis-born rabbinic scholar Jacob ben Hayim ibn Adonijah, and featured the commentaries of several leading medieval Jewish men of wisdom. Scholarship aside, the word is evocative and can serve to start us on any path or train of thought.
Sterling silver will retain its luster for years and frequent wearing of your jewelry will help prevent tarnishing. We recommend polishing your sterling silver jewelry with a dry silver polishing cloth available at most grocery or hardware stores. We do not recommend polishing with silver polish as this may remove the antiquing. When you are not wearing your jewelry, storing your silver in the jewelry bag in which it came will help prevent tarnishing.
