Inscribed: "Not knowing when the dawn will come I open every door" from the poem Dawn with Emily Dickonson's signature on the back of a shape with an open door. Dickinson was an American poet of the 19th Century. She was an extremely private person and few of her 1800 poems were published during her lifetime. Her sister Lavinia was responsible for getting Emily's work published. She is now recognized as the first truly modern poet for her rare individuality and originality.
